Recently we were contacted by Worcester Township in Worcester, Pennsylvania to design a replacement post and panel sign. Their existing sign had served its purpose but had weathered and dulled over time. So much so that the sign was difficult to read.
They provided a nice initial rendition of what they were looking to do and we worked with their team to create a great final design. One of the criteria was to use as many recycled or recyclable materials as possible. We started with wood 6″ x 6″ posts, HDU panel material which is produced with 30% recycled material. We fabricated the mounting brackets from aluminum. The custom carved panel was finished in a durable two-part urethane finishing system for a long-lasting finish that will certainly provide a great look for a long time.
