Paramount Signs is a growing graphic design, branding and Signage Company located in Downingtown, PA that is seeking a full time Graphic Design/ Production Specialist.
As part of our team, your primary responsibilities will be creating and producing bold, beautiful and custom signs and graphics for local businesses! RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead designer on branding, logo design and signage packages for local companies
- Efficiently design and provide proofs for customer approval
- Interact professionally with customers
- Prepare comprehensive illustrations, sketches, layouts, and copy for production according to instructions of client or supervisor
- Accurately read work orders and set up production files
- Set up and operate machines including: printer, laminator, plotter & various power tools
- Load materials into machinery – requires some heavy lifting
- Helping with installs (including ladder work)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage social media pages, aiding with written blogs & optimizing SEO
- Minimize waste by efficiently using appropriate inventory, reporting inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the manager
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records
- Create and document repeatable processes and training materials while adhering to current standards
- Maintain all equipment including computers, plotters, and printers
- Maintain quality service by following organizational standards and keeping work area in a neat and organized manner
- Lead, train and assist future team members
- Perform other duties as needed, such as answering the phone, consulting with customers, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred
- At least one year in the sign industry or relevant degree/ certifications
- Able to learn quickly on the job
- Adobe Illustrator experience
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent composition and writing skills, including proof-reading/editing skills
- Social Media Marketing is a plus
- Basic math skills (algebra/ simple fractions etc.)
- Knowledge of RIP software a plus
- Must be able to work under pressure and adapt and solve problems as they arise
- Able to effectively and efficiently organize, prioritize, and manage clients, team members, and work
- High attention to detail
- Able to take direction
- Able to work effectively both in a team environment and without direct supervision
- Able to sit and view a computer screen for long periods
- Able to operate a wide variety of business equipment
- Familiar with basic hand tools (X-Acto knife, Utility knife, T-Square, Ruler Tape Measure, Calculator, Scissors, Drill, various saws & other power tools)
- Able to lift 50 or more pounds
- Must have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
